According to our radial arm saw expert
The laser guide is a useful help when you want a straight cutting line.
The optional table extension ensures extra support for long work pieces, like laminate or baseboards.
Because there's no pull function, you have less space to saw big workpieces like sheet material.
For that one time you're going to saw laminate, baseboards, or other wood work to fit, the Powerplus POWX075700 is a very user-friendly radial arm saw. You can saw up to 50mm deep if you make straight cutting lines. And if you tilt the saw head for miter cuts, you can reach up to 30mm deep. Pull out the included side supports to stably lay down long work pieces such as slats and window frames. When you follow the laser line with the 210mm saw blade, the cuts are accurate and straight. You can limit the amount of dust released during intensive sawing by attaching the vacuum cleaner bag to the POWX075700, or by connecting the vacuum directly to the radial arm saw.
I mainly want to use it for making picture frames, where I want to saw off very accurately at 45 degrees. the machine has a laser and a pointer, but those lines don't line up. Moreover, if I put one of them on the 45 degree mark, it will not cut at a perfect 45 degree angle..! The thing is fine for straight cutting of eg (not too wide) laminate, but for a precision job like mine I don't think it is very reliable. I always have to find the perfect angle myself through all kinds of detours..
