According to our access point expert
This access point supports WiFi 6, so you can set up a faster connection and have better coverage.
With a 2.5Gbps port, this access point supports the fastest local internet connections.
With this Omada HD access point, you'll have coverage throughout your company and you can connect hundreds of devices at the same time, without a loss of speed.
You'll need suitable devices if you want to make use of all of the benefits of WiFi 6.
With the TP-Link Omada EAP660 HD you'll provide your office or business property with WiFi 6. With this new version of WiFi, you'll set up a faster connection and even reach the full speed of a lightening fast optical fiber connection. WiFi 6 also provides more capacity. Many people can go online on 1 access point, and the wireless connection will stay stable. You can link multiple access points to set up a network with a better coverage. You manage this access point via the cloud. You can easily add extra connection points and set the network to your preferences. You could make a separate network for employees and guests. You can give visitors access via a one-time code.
Highly recommended to supplement a tp-link omada setup. Everything clearly arranged in the cloud. Access point performance is fine, especially in a busy environment you notice the difference.

As a replacement for 2 Asus RT-AC68Us (mesh), purchased in combination with 2 TP Link 2008P switches, also to be able to set up VLANs for IoT. Installation is easy, management via Omada controller (in a docker container) too, no adapter needed thanks to PoE (provided your switch/router on the other hand supports this of course). Range seems a bit better than with the Asus routers. Only downside is the access point's Frisbee format.

I was looking for an alternative to my Ubiquiti AP-AC-LR, but the EAP660 just falls short in terms of speed and range. The Ubiquiti has been reduced in software (firmware) to 17 dBm and yet the Ubiquiti has a better range than the EAP660, which is already set to its highest dBm at the start. In addition, you have to update the thing old-fashioned via the site and remove a file if you want to do it via the app, which is possible with the Ubiquiti. The thing is big. Really not recommended
