According to our radio expert
Thanks to the digital DAB+ tuner, you can listen to a noise-free radio signal.
Be woken up in the morning thanks to the built-in alarm.
The radio doesn't have a built-in battery, so you can't place it anywhere in your home.
The Philips TAR5005 is a compact DAB+ radio. Since you listen via the digital DAB+ tuner, you won't hear any noise. That way, you can listen to your favorite radio stations in high quality. Want to place the radio in the bedroom? The radio can wake you up every morning with the built-in alarm. The Gentle Wake function ensures you wake up with an increasing volume. That way, the radio won't startle you. If you don't place the radio in your bedroom, the compact look means it fits any interior.

it's nice and compact, we had to fiddle with the setup.

Bought for my grandmother. She is very happy with the radio because of the nice sound, but for example setting an alarm herself is really too unclear because of the confusing layout of the buttons. The manual almost makes it even more confusing. So not very intuitive to use. She now only uses it as a radio and she is very happy with it. DAB+ has almost every station she was looking for.
