Initially I was unable to connect the plugs to the app. After quite a bit of trial and error I found out that the problem was in the use of the wifi6 protocol. When I turned this off for 2.4ghz in my Asus router, they connected without a problem. Since then they have been working perfectly fine. Fortunately, all WiFi6 devices are connected via the 5GHz network, so they are not affected by this.
