According to our smart home hub expert
You can set up to 40 different scenes with this smart home hub.
Thanks to this hub, it's possible to control all connected devices with one app.
The base station uses sensors that support WiFi and Z-Wave.
The accessories that you connect to the hub aren't included by default.
This smart home hub isn't suitable for houses larger than 100m² with many smart home devices.
The Fibaro Home Center 3 Lite is a starter model base station that helps you to start your smart home. This smaller variant of the Home Center 3 is especially suitable for automatization of small houses and apartments. You can use the Home Center app or the web interface to control your lights, speakers, or thermostat from any location. Because this smart home hub has both WiFi and Z-wave support, you can connect many different brands and devices. For example, you can easily set scenes for Sonos, Philips Hue, and Fibaro equipment. In addition, it's possible to give voice commands to Google Assistant, Siri, or Alexa.

A quick search to connect the device to my Wifi, but in the meantime reliably join my Z-wave network.

The HC3L is certainly an excellent option for the beginner. It is often more than enough for a smaller home. Broad support for Philips Hue lamps is also an advantage.

I'm happy with it myself. I replaced my HC2 with my new HC3. Unfortunately, a lot is still not going well with the HC3, but I did get everything stable and working thanks to many external components. But if you want to use this as your main controller, I'd definitely wait a little longer.
The bugs I am currently experiencing:
But once set up, everything works properly. In itself I got it to work reasonably well and it works stable, but it is quite a job to get everything right and to make work-a-roud on work-a-round.
The link with Siri and google home is also not very stable. For this I installed home assistant on my NAS and connected it to Fibaro. Then I reprogrammed the HC2 plugin to HC3 because the API URLs etc have also been adjusted.
In other words, the product is just not finished yet. Knowing Fibaro, they will come with updates that fixes everything, but it will take a while. If you now have an HC2, I would stay on that. If you are looking for a completely new controller, you might consider a Homey. If you are good at tinkering and scripting, I still recommend the HC3 and a synology NAS with docker so that you can solve the missing functions in other ways ;-)
