So I discovered the concept of ink tank printers. According to the consumer association, the Canon Maxify GX6050 is "the best in the test" ink tank printer. And this is its big brother, and one of the advantages is that it also has a multipage ADF feeder. That is why we chose this printer.

The printer is certainly not cheap, but given the fact that the costs are so much lower with the ink bottles and tanks, we think it will also be a cheap choice in the long term. Of course also because we print and scan quite a bit, otherwise a cheaper printer might be more useful.

Filling the ink tanks is a piece of cake, which was not too bad for me. And you can clearly see how much ink is left in the printer through the sight glasses on the front of the printer. And the apps that you can install are also very functional (viewed on Windows 11). it also works well as a network printer in an existing, wired network.

You can also print via mobile (haven't tried it yet) and it has a fax function (which I will most likely never use).
