According to our television expert
Thanks to the 10-bit panel of this TV, you can watch realistic and colorful HDR images.
The Full Array Local Dimming ensures that black parts of the screen are truly black.
The smart Cognitive Processor XR makes images and sounds even smoother and more realistic.
As this TV doesn't include a subwoofer, you can't listen to a deep bass during an action movie, for example.

After my LG OLED got its color palette contaminated by burn-in (All my screen was full of Healthbars, Stamina bars, Odometers and other game related HUDs, Youtube logos in different places etc) and yellow colors were displayed as green, I was ready for a new TV. This TV is more economical, faster and the image quality is about the same. So despite the fact that it is not OLED and the sound is slightly less deep, I am very satisfied with this TV. I basically only use my TV for youtube, movies and gaming. Cable TV is something I won't be cluttering my TV and head with XD I'm playing Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring on it right now and it's a great experience. So it's a great purchase that is totally worth it to me. I will never go for OLED again. This TV works fine and hopefully I won't have to replace it after 2.5 years due to burn-in just like my OLED.

I have been using this product for a few weeks now and have been able to test it well. I can certainly recommend this product.
Unpacking the TV is very easy, my advice is to do this with two people. Not because of the weight, but more because of the size, it would be a shame if you let it fall from your hands. It is easy to remove from the box, because you can lift the cardboard on the side.
I didn't like the sound quality of the product. I'm quite picky about sound, but I've already adjusted my expectations of today's TVs, since there is little room for a decent customer cabinet. If you follow talk shows or soaps, the sound is fine. But if you are going to watch a movie or music program, I can recommend a soundbar.
I really liked the image quality. The TV only had some trouble with when there is a lot of light on the TV. For example, with bright sunlight shining through the windows. Images were very sharp and the colors came out beautifully. Also, black was just black and not blocky.
So if you are looking for a TV with a 55" image format, which is easy to use, then look no further and choose this Sony.

Bought as successor to my Sony 50W805. The picture and the speed of the TV are a considerable improvement. Razor-sharp image! And for a PS5, it's great that this TV also supports 120fps on the HDMI2.1 ports.
Only downside compared to my previous TV, I find the somewhat dark "corners" that are especially visible with a white / light screen. I understand that this is an issue with LED screens in particular and occurs with all brands, but it does detract from the image quality.
Sound is okay, but of course a bit flatter than, for example, a surround set.
What also struck me is that the TV is a bit thicker than I expected. My previous TV looked a bit thinner, perhaps also because of the separate power supply of that TV.
An additional advantage is that you have a year of free Bravia Core, a kind of "Netflix from Sony". It took a while to find where you turn on the subtitles, but it's nice that it's included, there are quite a lot of top films in between.
