The Pioneer DJ VM-70 was purchased to share between 3 locations in the house: the vinyl booth, the all-in-one and the studio. Easy to connect, portable but still good sound quality were therefore important. And all three points are met! You can get sound via both RCA and balanced-XLR, connect the mains and go bananas. The reproduction can be set neutral (enough) to use in the studio but when you choose to boost the bass a bit extra you get a very nice, full sound with which you can enjoy playing a set! A minor drawback I find is perhaps that there is no built-in option to connect stereo-balanced and then play it back as mono. In my vinyl setup that function is not built into my mixer, so I have to use RCA there where I merge the first one to a mono signal. Nothing insurmountable of course, but it would have been useful.
