According to our television expert
The 4K resolution ensures sharp images with many details.
Via the Android smart platform you have an extensive overview of popular apps and you can easily choose your favorite movie or series.
The 3-sided Ambilight provides extra mood lighting on the wall behind your TV and you can easily operate it with the Philips Hue app on your smartphone.
Due to the 50Hz refresh rate, images don't always look smooth.
This TV has an 8-bit panel, so the image is less colorful than with a 10-bit panel.
With the Philips 43PUS7906 - Ambilight, you can enjoy movie marathons with a sharp image quality. The HDR support provides contrast-rich and colorful images. That way, you'll see all bright and subtle shades of blue in an ocean documentary. In addition, details are clearly visible thanks to the 4K resolution, so you can see tiny plankton particles wandering through the ocean. You can easily start a movie, video, or documentary via the Android smart platform. Use the remote to navigate to smart TV, after which you can select your favorite app from an extensive overview. On top of that, the 43PUS7906 supports Dolby Atmos. That's useful if you have a soundbar. Dolby Atmos ensures the sound of the soundbar reaches your viewing position via the ceiling, creating a surround effect. As a result, movie music sounds more lively and it's as if you're right between those two actors having a discussion.
This TV has 3-sided Ambilight, which means the TV has built-in lights on the sides and top. These light up in the color of the screen when it's on, which provides extra ambiance during a movie or series. You can also control the light of the TV via the Philips Hue app. With this, you can turn all lights in the living room on or off with the push of a button. That way, you won't bump into anything at night.

I installed it myself, thought that was quite an achievement for a 71 year old!

I am happy with this TV, but even more happy with the service from coolblue. I prefer to buy electronics equipment and large purchases from you because coolblue thinks solution-oriented and wants to help the customer

This TV with Android is quite "smart" and gives a nice clear image. The sound quality is not that bad for a flat TV. If you want deep bass, you have to pair it with your stereo or purchase a soundbar. The remote control is less suitable for people with thick fingers because the numeric keys in particular are small. Compared to our Samsung TV, the electronic program guide is less useful because there is no picture and sound when you open the guide. Switching between watching cable and dish is not convenient, it requires quite a few steps.
