I am quite satisfied with the JBL Tune 760NC headphones, but I do have a few points of criticism. It's because my expectations were set too high by what I've read about ANC (Active Noise Cancelling). I want to share my experiences so that others have the right expectations.
I had the impression that with ANC you no longer hear outside noise. That turns out not to be true. As soon as you put on the headphones, half of the outside noise is muted, as with all over-ear headphones. A test with a vacuum cleaner shows that once the ANC kicks in, half of the remaining noise is eliminated. You will therefore continue to hear roughly a quarter of the outside noise.
