A good representation of the music. Nice deep bass for such bookcase speakers, and that for a reasonable price. The design could have been a bit nicer, but they can also be listened to and not looked at

Small powerhouses, that's how I can best describe these Polk speakers. They produce solid and full sound with a high range, even in the bass and that for a very attractive price. When you close your eyes, you hardly expect the sound to be produced by bookshelf-sized speakers. A stable amplifier is recommended, on the other hand, these speakers do not come into their own and the high tones in particular become a bit unstable. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

For this price there are almost no speakers with the same price-quality. That bass punch at the low frequencies is great if you mainly listen to Techno or Hip-hop and, if you have neighbors, you don't necessarily have to buy a subwoofer. For any other genre, the speakers are also great.

The point is that you really have to 'Equalize' these speakers via software (Equalizer APO) on the computer or perhaps software that is built into your amplifier. The speaker does have high treble that most people probably find too sharp, but most speakers around this price simply have shortcomings in the frequency response (too low bass or a big dip in midrange or high treble). But that should absolutely not deter you from buying these speakers because that is very easy to do. Because you also have to take into account that most speakers around this price with low treble, the bass falls short again. And it's much easier to lower high frequencies (lower treble) than to increase low frequencies (increase bass), because then your bass will sound much muddier, and we don't want that.

But I would only advise against this speaker if you don't have the option to lower the treble, for example if you have connected it to a TV via your amp, which doesn't have that option - but apparently many new TVs do have 5- or 7-band EQs, so that's no longer a problem.
