According to our WiFi speaker expert
In addition to WiFi, you can also connect the speaker to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
You can easily connect the speaker to your Apple devices thanks to AirPlay 2.
With the built-in Google Assistant, you can operate the speaker with voice commands.
This speaker doesn't have a built-in screen like the Citation 500.
The WiFi speaker can't be used as a rear speaker for a 5.0 or 5.1 surround setup.
Listen wirelessly to your favorite music, movies, and series with the Citation ONE MK3 smart speaker. Connect this speaker to the power grid and connect it to your smartphone via WiFi or Bluetooth. The device also has AirPlay 2, so you can easily connect it to your Apple devices. You can control the speaker from the Google Home app. With the integrated Google Assistant, you can also control the speaker with voice commands. You can easily turn the volume up or down or ask it to play your favorite song. With the Assistant, you can also operate the smart devices you have at home and you're always up to date on your schedule, the weather, and any traffic jams. If you want, you can connect several Citation speakers via WiFi. This way, you can easily create a home cinema sound setup or a multi-room system. You can't connect the WiFi speaker to the Harman Kardon soundbar. You'll need the Citation Surround speakers for that.
Note: the Citation ONE MK3 isn't a successor to the Citation ONE MK2. The speaker has the same functions and quality.Sound quality

Tried different products both in the CoolBlue store (Utrecht) and at home and ultimately wanted to make a choice between the Sonos One SL and the HK Citation One ML3 and in the end the HK wins for me with a good lead over the sound of the Sonos One SL. Why? The sound of the HK is warm and the distribution and stability between low-mid-high I just think is better and better suited to what I'm looking for above the Sonos. The fact is that the Sonos app is really nicer and better than what the HK offers, namely no own app but only via Google Home, while the Sonos app is super complete and clear. However, I was looking for speakers for the sound and not for the operation, and then HK wins for me in terms of warm sound, I find the Sonos too cool and distant in terms of sound, a bit chilly even. The HK gives a nice and warm sound that fills the room. After purchasing 1 speaker, I bought a 2nd one a few days later and it is precisely that stereo sound that makes it complete and complete. I find the stability of the AirPlay connection a bit disappointing: in the house a very stable WiFi with maximum speed via fiber optic and yet the sound via AirPlay sometimes remains a bit floaty, while the same sound via Bluetooth is super stable and good. But very happy with these two new speakers, would definitely recommend them!

At first I had my doubts about the bass: with a single speaker above 65% volume, the bass is very dominant and the speaker vibrates too hard, so that the cabinet shelf also makes noise. When you connect the two speakers in stereo, they are already slightly better tuned. At a lower sound level they sound full together and then the bass is nicely present again.
I use them as secondary speakers and they are fine for that. I have two excellent speakers connected to my television and with them I play music via the chromecast, among other things. Only the range of the sound in the kitchen and at the dining table I was not satisfied with. I now have the two citations in the opposite corners of the room and kitchen and via google home I play music on all 4 speakers simultaneously. For example, the citations never have to exceed 65% volume, so that the bass never sounds too loud from those corners. You won't get better for this price.
If these are the only speakers in your living room, I would spend a little more money for a better set that is just a bit better tuned.

No regrets with this purchase, great sound and looks great! When connecting the speakers to a stereo pair, 1 of the speakers becomes the so-called master. This is also the speaker that responds to Hey Google commands. With me the left speaker became master by default, but I wanted this on the right. This took some searching and puzzling before I could figure this out.
