Not recommended for MAC users. You hand in a USB 3 port for an HDMI. You think you will get a USB-3 port back, but this is only a USB connection for power, not data. USB-2 connection does work for data.

Just get a longer USB cable and a shorter HDMI cable. Then everything worked out nicely.

I bought this for several Android devices that according to current fashion only have a USB-C port. You can listen to or charge audio via that USB-C port, but not both at the same time. This adapter will not help much with that, I saw that such a functionality must be supported by the USB controller. Preferably you plug in the audio first, so that Android sees it as an adapter that requires power, and then the charging cable. But Android can then get confused, and will suddenly stop charging or suddenly interrupt the audio, or switch modes continuously.

Connect a screen with HDMI to a laptop with USB-C port with the ACT USB-C to USB and HDMI Adapter with Power Delivery. While you're working on 2 screens at the same time, you can connect your phone with USB-C connector to the adapter to charge it. Thanks to this, your phone will be fully charged when you need to work on location. You can also easily connect a USB flash drive thanks to the USB-A port. You can put the adapter in your bag to take it with you. The aluminum casing can take a beating and doesn't damage when you travel. Note: DP Alt Mode is required for the linked screen.
