I bought a microphone with a shock mount a long time ago. At first I was afraid that it wouldn't fit on this arm, given the somewhat wider thread of my mic, but the Rode PSA1+ had a universal connection.
I find the arm extremely flexible — but it does make a very slight noise, you can hear the creaking of the fabric against the metal housing when you move the arm (doesn't bother me). It can carry a lot, because my microphone, including shock mount AND pop filter (which already weighs quite a lot) is held up without any effort. The only thing I find a pity is that it can't be pushed back a bit further, but the range of the arm is really very large, so that's actually negligible.
Happy with it! This one will never go away.
