According to our robot vacuum expert
This 2-in-1 robot vacuum mops and vacuums your floor.
Control this robot vacuum with the Xiaomi Home App via your smartphone.
If the battery is empty, the robot vacuum rides to the charging dock on its own.
The laser navigation might miss small areas.
Lean back as the Xiaomi Roborock S7 MaxV White vacuums and mops. This 2-in-1 all-rounder is a vacuum and mopping robot in 1. It has a 35cm diameter, so it's suitable for an average-sized household. Simply download the Xiaomi Home app and navigate it with your smartphone. Aren't you at home, or do you want to watch TV? With the help of the laser, it can ride around the house on its own and it won't distract you during a tense movie, thanks to the 67dB noise level. When it's done vacuuming, VibraRise allows it to use sonic vibrations and a little water to scrub away the last stain. When the battery is empty, it rides to the charging dock on its own, so you don't have to look for it in your home.

Build quality
After having had a Neato for a number of years, we made the switch to a Roborock. The big reason for us was the poor availability of parts for the Neato. In addition, the neato was no match for vacuuming 100m every day. What you should expect from such a priced device. I took the gamble and ordered this one.
After two weeks of use I can say the following about it. I was under the impression that the Neato was second to none at vacuuming. After all, the form factor helps when vacuuming in the corners, but I was wrong about that. What we noticed was that the large side brush of the Roborock really helps a lot and makes up for the relatively small suction brush (?). In addition, the software of the Roborock is really much better. The Neato had the bad quality that if we moved even one chair in the house, we had to remap the entire room. In addition, the Neato does not learn and creates a new map every day. And that's quite a thing. The Roborock learns from its environment and therefore knows what the contours should be and handles them well. Furthermore, the Roborock also seems to remember the card. So it doesn't matter where he is, he will always find the dock. The Neato would sometimes lose its dock and cry in a corner somewhere.
The sound is an improvement. Even on the highest setting, it does not make as much noise as its predecessor and yet the result is no less. Although it took some getting used to that the side brush makes a ticking sound because the fins tap against everything. But once used to it, it is very doable. (we usually don't hear it anyway because we use it when we're not there).
Mop. This is a thing. I was a little hesitant about it at first. After all, you can't put pressure like you can with a handle and that should just cause a problem in my opinion. But it doesn't. It works great with superficial dirt if you mop a certain room twice (see next paragraph about the app) then most of it is gone. What is a recommendation, as is also stated in the manual, is to wash the cloth every time because there is secretly a lot of junk in it. Despite the fact that the manual does not allow it, we do put a little cleaning agent in it and that works. If you get streaks while mopping, I do have a few tips. Wet the mop thoroughly. Make sure he mops a certain room twice (can be set via the app). Then he will first do his round horizontally and the second time vertically. And that works to lessen the streaks a bit. Despite all this, it has been a lot of experimentation. Just to be sure, I only ordered two new cloths so that we can wash the others as well.
If we have to complain about something, it's the trash can. This one is a lot smaller than that of the Neato, which is not the biggest problem. What's the real problem is the shape. Because it is square, you can't just pick it up like with the neato while the dirt remains in it. I've had a few times when I take it out of the vacuum cleaner that the compartment is filled with the contents of the container.. not convenient.
The app also works well. In the beginning it was a bit difficult that we had to do everything by phone, but after two weeks of getting used to it, that is no longer a problem. The layout of the house on the map feels natural but is sometimes a bit of a mess. Fortunately, you don't do that often/once. Setting a one-time cleaning action also works well. You can even set whether a certain room should be done 1, 2 or 3 times in a row. And you can make a square in which to clean the device. Very handy for local junk.

Better than a dyson and has about 10x its battery life, without having to walk around with it yourself. The cleaning result (also with pets) is very good and letting this friend drive through the house a few times a week will save you hours of your time!

In the beginning you have to invest some time because it takes a while to create the map and only then you can indicate where he should/shouldn't clean. Until then, stay tuned to avoid accidents. The app is not always logical and requires some puzzling in the beginning, but once everything is set up it works fine. All housemates are now fans and it is used so often that the house is cleaner than ever.
