Our digital expert will help you, but it can sometimes make mistakes, like humans do.
According to our router expert
Thanks to the 6GHz band, you get a separate channel for your WiFi 6E devices, so you'll have less interference.
The WiFi stations give you a strong WiFi signal throughout the whole house.
With 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, you and your housemates always have fast WiFi.
Because the 6GHz band has a short range, devices work best when they're close to the router.
This Ethernet speed isn't high enough for a large business environment.

The ET12 works great! Very fast and especially the 2.5 Gbps ports are very nice (especially with a NAS). I have placed the node on my top floor via a wired backhaul and I now get 750/800 Mbps on the WiFi with my telephone (gigabit internet from Ziggo).

Bought the 2 pack to enable Wifi on the 2nd floor wirelessly. Setup: router in the meter cupboard - with AP on the 1st floor. With my previous router, including an AP on the 1st floor, that didn't work enough. Now with the ASUS I have a sufficiently strong signal on the 2nd with a completely wireless installation (wireless backhaul). I did eventually choose to connect the Router and the AP wired (wired backhaul). In terms of placement and signal strength, that gives the best result in my house. However, all clients are always connected wirelessly. Speed: >350 Mbps via Wifi, both on the ground and 1st floor. On the 2nd floor, fluctuating between 150 - 280 Mbps on the 5Ghz band and 35-68 Mbps on the 2.4 band. I have a well insulated house, thick concrete floors. Floor covering: wooden planks, laid floating on a sturdy carpet underlay, built in 2005.

The 6E band does not work with the inexpensive 7800 from Asus. There will be an update but for now it doesn't work. The 86U Pro is not stable, but with Merlin firmware, this router does not offer its own 6E band. The E12 works as promised, my new MacBook Pro M.2 connects without any problems. If you want your own 6E band, you cannot ignore this router and those of other brands, but that will cost you a lot of money.
