Description

With the JBL Charge 5 Pro, you can always listen to your favorite music, wherever you are. At home, you can connect your phone via WiFi, so you call someone and check your timeline without the music stopping. If the weather is nice, you can take the speaker with you to the park or the beach. Thanks to the IP67 certification, the speaker is dust-resistant and water-resistant and you don't have to worry about a bit of sand and water on the speaker. With the 20-hour battery life, you can listen to music an entire day without worries. Even an empty phone is no reason to stop the music. That's because you can charge it via the built-in power bank. You can put the charging cable of your phone in the speaker and your phone charges.

    Warning: partyboost does NOT work via laptop, only with sm

    • Party boost does NOT work via laptop
    In a previous review I wrote why I was happy with this speaker. I don't have to repeat that, everyone writes about it and it's true. I had a real party with 1 single box. But how nice if there are several? With the party boost function it is tempting to buy a second box, which I did. But if you think that the boxes can pair when you want to play music from your laptop, then you are disappointed. They do not. Only when you connect your box to your phone. Why, JBL? And why is this not described anywhere? This is precisely the reason why I bought a second box. So for people who only intend to play music from their phone, fine, super fun, party boost works perfectly. So not via your laptop. In no way. Perhaps there will be an update from JBL that makes this possible, would be so neat. And if not, there may be some clever programmers who can hack the firmware so that the box thinks your PC is a phone, something like that. I am waiting for it.

    heavy quality sound

    costs a few cents, but then you also have something; packaged like an Apple product (a gift to unbox, for the unboxing fetishists among us) and the weight suggests solidity and quality ... most of it will be battery, but hey, finish is great. And then the sound ... how can that sound come from such a small thing, was my first thought; after a few listens: there is sometimes something missing in the middle, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this thing sounds fine otherwise. Why this one, and not the Xtreme? Most reviews are praising both, so that's of no use ... but one (1) reviewer made a useful comment, which I'd like to add here: the Extreme needs a higher volume to come into its own in terms of sound quality and the Charge, on the other hand, also sounds great at lower volume.
