According to our earbuds expert
Thanks to the high-end noise canceling, ambient noise is heavily reduced, so you're less bothered by your surroundings.
In the Bose Music app, you personalize the sound reproduction with an equalizer.
The music pauses automatically when you take an earbud out of your ear.
Since the earbuds are water-resistant and not waterproof, you can't clean them under the faucet.
With the Bose QuietComfort, you can enjoy your favorite songs, even in the noisiest spaces. These earbuds have have high-end noise canceling, so ambient noise is heavily reduced. In the Bose Music app, you personalize the sound reproduction with an equalizer. This way, you can listen to personalized sound. Want to start a conversation with someone? If you take an earbud out of your ear, the music pauses automatically. When you put the earbud back in, the music will start to play again. On a full charge, you can listen to music for 6 hours. Different earbud sizes are and stability bands are included. Try them all to find the ideal fit for you.
High-end noise cancelingThe high-end noise canceling of these earbuds greatly reduces ambient noise, and you won't hear much of your surroundings while you listen to music. That way, you can cancel out unwanted sounds, and you won't turn the volume up too high to enjoy to music.
Bose CustomTune technologyThanks to the Bose CustomTune technology, noise canceling and audio performance are adjusted to the shape of your ears. When you put the earbuds in your ear, you'll hear a tone that helps measure the acoustics of your ear. So you can enjoy personalized sound and the best possible noise canceling.
Aware mode with Bose ActiveSense technologyDo you want to hear more of your surroundings, instead of less? Turn on Aware mode to amplify ambient noise. The Bose ActiveSense technology ensures a natural balance between music and ambient noise. This way, you'll still hear your music well, even if there's a lot of ambient noise.

Design
With Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II, a product has been added to Bose's popular QuietComfort line. This time it concerns earplugs, which have top-class noise canceling. Only the noise canceling can catch a lot of wind when I'm on the bike.
Fits well and doesn't stick out too far With the previous generations of Bose earplugs, there was always one downside for me: they were much too big. The earbuds protruded and fell out quickly, so I didn't fully enjoy the quality. Fortunately, Bose has now addressed this. These earbuds are fairly small and don't stick out very far. In addition, once they have found the right fit, they sit firmly in my ears. I feel comfortable going to the gym without them falling out of my ears during a heavy exercise.
Top class noise cancellation The noise canceling of these earbuds is great. When I listen to music, I hardly hear anything from my surroundings. In a busy train compartment or at the office, I don't turn the music up unnecessarily and I focus on what I'm doing. This makes the quality comparable to that of top-class noise canceling headphones. Only when I'm on my bike and it's windy outside, do I hear the wind through my music in an annoying way.
Customizable sound, finally! The sound is as you are used to with Bose: of high quality; clear and detailed. The low tones are also quite strong, which I like. What I'm really happy with is the equalizer in the Bose Music app. Before, it was never possible to adjust the sound of your Bose earbuds or headphones, until now. For example, I accentuate the low tones a little more, making a kick in dance music sound even more powerful.
User-friendly app In the Bose Music app, I change the noise canceling in addition to the sound and choose the commands for the touch controls. The app is very simple and that's what makes it so great. It is very clear how to adjust certain things and everything is well explained.

I've been testing the Bose QC Earbuds 2 for a week now and I'm very impressed with these earbuds. Still, I'm going to return them because some things bother me too much for a product of this price.
For starters, the audio quality is incredible and these make any genre sound hugely immersive. The sub-bass is almost palpable and the soundstage is very strong. The noise cancellation is also something I have rarely experienced. It literally feels like all ambient noise is filtered out. Bose has really succeeded in releasing a product that stands out above the rest in terms of both sound and noise canceling.
However, from a product of 299€ I expect that it will not disappoint me in any way, and unfortunately I cannot say that about these earbuds. (Note, if the nitpicking below does not apply to you, I recommend that you buy these earbuds, they are really top in terms of sound and NC!)
This all seems nit-picky, but for me personally these things, and in particular the high noise floor, are reason enough to return them and look for an alternative.
