According to our soundbar expert
Spatial audio: you hear sound from above and from the sides thanks to Virtual Dolby Atmos, so movies sound more realistic.
Listen wirelessly: you can stream your online playlists from your smartphone via Bluetooth.
No deep bass: you miss a separate subwoofer, so the bass sounds less deep.

Nice solid product from Sony. Easy to connect. Comes out with good sound. But not significantly better than my old soundbar with separate subwoofer. I really miss such a subwoofer with the Sony A3000. You can add those, as well as separate rear speakers. But all together it is very pricey.

I recently moved and my 10 year old home cinema set no longer delivered the quality I used to. Everything sounded very hollow and if someone was talking without subtitles I sometimes couldn't even understand it for that reason. What a relief the A3000 is! I now only have one soundbar (so takes up less space than my previous one) and the sound really is 100 times better. Nice bass and crystal clear sound. I'll continue testing. Before I connected the system, I considered purchasing two more separate speakers for behind the couch, but now I'm starting to have doubts because that one soundbar already produces a nice sound. The supplied ACR HDMI cable did not work for me, so I connected the sound via another cable.

Tested for a few weeks. Ease of use is excellent. The menu is clear, but it's a pity that it is in English, which makes it a bit more difficult to understand everything. Good connection to WiFi. Built-in Chromecast is nice. The sound is a bit disappointing compared to my old Philips soundbar. Built-in subwoofer is not your thing, so an external one must be purchased to enjoy top sound. There is an option to listen to 360 sound, which sounds good when tested, but you need to take out a subscription for this. Optionally, additional rear speakers can be purchased. I have an old Sony TV so unfortunately I cannot connect it to Bluetooth.
