According to our solid state drive (SSD) expert
Insert this SSD without any extra cable in a M slot of a motherboard or laptop with NVMe/PCIe support.
With a read speed up to 3500MB/s, the Kingston NV2 M.2 SSD is faster than its predecessor.
You'll receive a 3 year warranty from Kingston.
This M.2 NVMe SSD has a size of 2280 in combination with a M key and only fits if your device supports this size.
If you store a lot of huge RAW photo or video files, choose the 2TB M.2 SSD instead.
Note:this M.2 SSD has a PCI Express 4.0 (NVMe) interface and only works if your system supports PCIe 4.0/NVMe. In addition, the SSD has a M key, which only fits in systems with a M slot. Make sure to check this in the manual of your laptop or motherboard.
The Kingston NV2 PCLe 4.0 NVMe SSD 500GB is a fast, internal SSD, suitable for both laptops and desktops. With 500GB storage space, you can store up to 50,000 photos or 50 hours of Full HD footage. The SSD provides storage for all your photos and other files, but also helps boot your PC faster. This way, you can get started right away. The Kingston NV2 M.2 is a lot faster than the NV1, with a 3500MB/s read speed and 2100MB/s write speed. In addition, the SSD delivers extra good performance, thanks to the PCIe 4.0 interface. This allows you to transfer files faster than with PCIe 3.0. The NV2 uses less energy and gets less warm. This makes the SSD relatively energy-efficient and preserves more battery for your laptop. You receive a 3-year warranty from Kingston with this SSD.

The product works fine and was easy to install in my laptop, but it was very difficult to get it to work. I had to buy a SATA adapter and install two programs to use it
