We just recently moved into our new house and decided to set it up as a "smart-home". It was recommended to upgrade our "old" Nest wifi to Nest Wifi Pro to manage the different systems (Philips Hue, Google Hubs etc). We have also gotten now fiber internet hence our enthusiasm about the fast internet throughout the house. However, it was a drama to set up 3 Google Nest Wofo Pro in our house while having a network connection on each floor. I tried to contact Google however they referred always back to the troubleshooting pages they have set up that were not helping with my specific issue such as "cannot connect to cloud services", " your network is offline" etc. I also checked different forums and realized I was not the only one with this issue. After a good week of trying to set up the home network, the speed dropped from 1Gb to not even 100Mbps while being home alone and only 1 PC was on and dropped connection constantly.
With all these experiences, I am not convinced this is a better wifi router than the previous version, which was up and running instantly. Maybe it is only the Nest Pro that I purchased that is not willing to work with the setup in our house or it rests with the initiator who is not tech-savvy enough to set up a plug en play wifi in the house. :)

The wifi of the kpn modem does not have very good range, so I wanted a mesh network that was easy to install and looked aesthetically beautiful but was also fast and had good range. Installation was super simple and adding extra points was also. The wifi of the kpn box is about half of the house twice as fast as these google Nests. The other half google nest achieves higher speeds because the kpn box has no range there. I have a 4 gigabit connection. My wifi averages 300-500 mbit. So I can downgrade my subscription considerably, because it is not all that fast. It is beautiful though. If you are a simple soul like me then the google nest is fine for you, you are bothered by instability and limited speed. Then look further.
