Philips Airfryer XXL Baking Set HD9956/00

While testing the Combi Airfryer XXL, we also tried this baking set. The container is smaller than the air fryer's basket, leaving plenty of space around it.

The purpose of this baking set is, among other things, to bake muffins or cupcakes. A nice idea in theory, but in practice, it turned out to be a bit disappointing. The reusable molds are handy, but it's tricky to get them all neatly in the container without spilling or deforming them. We're also still struggling with the baking program. The first attempt, following the included instructions, wasn't successful. The cupcakes weren't cooked through. On the second attempt, where we extended the baking time slightly, they were already better. We'll be trying a third round and other recipes soon.

According to Philips/Coolblue, the peeling on the pan is caused by improper use. We suspect it's more likely to be poor quality, as we also have another (and older) pan that's now 5 years old and doesn't peel, even though it's also from Philips and the same series.

Nice that the baking pan fits exactly in the basket. After 1x use already a scratch on the bottom, not very bad but annoying. Otherwise it works properly but in my opinion it is actually a much too expensive accessory for what it is, just like the other accessories. What is really super handy is that baking in the Airfryer is a lot faster than in the oven.
