According to our gaming headset expert
The 7.1 surround sound produces spatial audio, so you can hear exactly where your opponents are coming from.
If you fold the microphone upwards, it switches off automatically so you're muted.
You easily change the noise level while you're gaming, thanks to the volume button on the headphones.
7.1 Surround Sound only works on your PC, so you play with stereo sound on your console.
I think the Corsair HS65 Wireless is a nice and light headset. The sound from the headset is good and the microphone is also clear. It is a pity that you can only use this headset wirelessly.
Easy to use I quickly connect the Corsair HS65 Wireless to my PlayStation 5. Connecting via Bluetooth to my Nintendo Switch also goes without any problems. I can actually get started with the headset right away thanks to the USB dongle and Bluetooth connection. I do miss the option to also use this headset wired. This would make the headset even more user-friendly.
Light and comfortable The Corsair HS65 Wireless is one of the lightest headsets I've ever used. While playing I don't even notice that I have a headset on. The ear cushions are nice and soft and the rest of the materials are also sturdy yet light. Long gaming sessions are therefore no problem at all, I have played for a really long time without getting problems with my neck. It is clear why the headset is so light. In addition to the light materials, there is also only a small battery. Where many gaming headsets last more than 30 hours, I have to charge the Corsair after 20 hours.
Great sound The sound from the HS65 is really good. I tested Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the new Horizon Forbidden West expansion with this headset. Especially with Horizon Forbidden West, the sound was really nice. I can hear exactly where the gigantic robots are walking and know well when to duck from an incoming attack from the left. I can also be heard clearly thanks to the noise reduction on the microphone. In addition, the headset has a bendable microphone, which is nice if you want to have the microphone closer to your mouth.
