According to our fryer expert
You can also prepare your oven dishes thanks to the baking tin, like lasagna or a small pie.
You can connect the airfryer with the HomeID app, so you can monitor the temperature and time from a distance.
The Rapid Air Plus technology distributes the hot air powerfully, so the heat can spread better and your food cooks faster.
With a 0.8m cord length, the airfryer has to be placed near a socket.
I think the Philips Airfryer XXL Connected HD9285/93 + baking pan is a compact and stylish airfryer. I easily connect it to my phone in a few steps via the NutriU app. The display just doesn't respond immediately when I press a key.
Little space required I take the airfryer out of the box and I immediately notice that it is compact and lightweight. That's handy, because it doesn't take up much space in my small kitchen. The airfryer also looks stylish and sturdy, thanks to the matte finish and non-slip feet. In the device itself I find another baking accessory. This is how I make tasty oven recipes.
Operation via app or manually I put the plug in the socket and the airfryer switches on within a few seconds. I operate the airfryer in 3 ways: via the NutriU app, the automatic baking programs or manually. The display is just less sensitive than with the previous airfryers. For example, I sometimes have to press a button with extra force or several times to increase the baking temperature, for example.
Cooking help from the app I decide to get the most out of the airfryer and download the app on my phone. Pairing does not take long and is easy. In the app I find a recipe for banana bread. The app tells me exactly which ingredients I need and helps me step by step during the preparation. After I pour the batter into the baking accessory, the app sends the baking settings to the airfryer. Handy, because that way I no longer have to think about the correct baking temperature and time. From the couch I can immediately see in the app how long it will take until the bread is baked. The bread comes out of the airfryer wonderfully crispy and at the same time creamy. I am positively surprised!
Different cooking levels I use the airfryer not only for baking bread, but also for other meals. For example, I can choose from 16 different cooking functions, so that I can prepare different dishes. For example, I have the choice of frying, roasting, defrosting, warming up or fermenting. Very nice, because an oven, deep fryer or microwave is now a thing of the past.
Easy cleaning After dinner I wait until the airfryer has cooled down. I clean the separate parts in the dishwasher or I clean them easily with a washing-up brush. I put the baking accessory back in the basket, so that I can easily find it for my next dish.

We have not had an airfryer or deep fryer before this. We got the unhealthy snacks from the local chip shop or we used oven chips. We never got the fries right out of the oven. It is and remained a weak intention, no matter how long and which chips we put in it. With the airfryer this is really a thing of the past. Set the temperature, put frozen fries in it, or pre-fried fresh fries, and you'll have them wonderfully crispy within 20 minutes if you use fresh fries. You can also make nice and crispy "baked" variants with the regular potatoes. The bitterballen came out great too! Totally happy with it as an alternative to the chip shop and fries farmer.
There is also an app on the airfryer where you can get recipes from. If you want to airfry several things at the same time, then you have a challenge. Vegetables should be at a time/temp than meat for example. You will then have to use the airfryer in addition to cooking/baking.
In addition to being easy to operate, the food is also ready quickly. You do not have to preheat and afterwards it is easy to clean. Great in use.

The Phillips XXL Connected Airfryer was delivered without fuss in its own box with a plastic seal. Fine as far as we're concerned, because the less unnecessary packaging and waste, the better.
Unpacking was a party because we were looking forward to the device. In the box was the Phillips XXL Connected Airfryer without too much fuss. There is no extensive paper manual in many unnecessary languages included and no unnecessary packaging material. A flyer with reference to the Philips NutriU app. Nice and modern and environmentally aware, at least that's what we think. Incidentally, the extensive manual can simply be found online and downloaded. The Phillips XXL Connected Airfryer is truly plug and play; just wash out the basket and pan before using it for the first time, install the Philips NutriU app, connect the device to WiFi and your phone and go with that banana. You can operate the airfryer via the Philips NutriU app or via the control panel. You can set the dish, the time and the desired temperature via the panel. That's fine if you have a lot of airfry experience and know what temperature and time you need or because the preparation method is stated on the packaging of the dish or in the recipe you use. I like settings via the Philips NutriU app because you can search by dish, menu, preparation or ingredient there. The right settings are ready with the dishes, so you don't even have to think for yourself or figure out what to choose. Once you have found the dish, you can switch on the airfryer with 1 push of a button via the app. You can take your phone with the app to another room or read a book in the garden and you will be kept informed via the app. You can also pause, resume, adjust and stop the preparation via the app. In addition to the many recipes, the Philips NutriU app also contains nutritional tips, cooking tips, information and tips about your device and accessories and fun blogs. The Airfryer has a nice large capacity for our family of 4. It is easy to wash and the parts can even be put in the dishwasher. Despite the fact that the Phillips XXL Connected Airfryer is a bit large and unwieldy, we think it is a nice design. We also use it a few times a week now. That is why it has been given a permanent place in the kitchen. Because it is such a nice device and the Philips NutriU app makes it really fun and easy - even for us as airfry beginners - we have already experimented more with the airfryerPhillips XXL Connected Airfryer in the last 2 weeks than we did with our old one in the 4 years. device. We have now prepared larger snacks, fresh thick fries, bread, apple pie, biscuits, dried fruit and more in the Airfryer. Everything is nicely cooked, airy, crispy, evenly and quickly heated and cooked. The bread maker is already out the door, the food dryer can be removed from the wish list and we hardly need the energy-consuming oven anymore. We do want to purchase a number of Philips accessories for the airfryer, for example for grilling and baking. Our teenage sons also found the airfryer great and easy to operate. It is precisely the digital and ease of use that appeals to this younger generation. So we have good hopes that they will now start air cooking as well.
