According to our television expert
The quantum dot layer provides rich, pure colors and high brightness.
Small details on the screen are clearly visible thanks to the 4K UHD resolution.
Thanks to the 100Hz refresh rate, fast-moving images are displayed smoothly.
The TV doesn't have a rotatable stand to turn it toward your viewing position.
The TCL QLED 65C743 (2023) shows colorful and detailed images. On the 4K UHD screen, you view razor-sharp content full of details. You can even see wrinkles on someone's face during movies or series, for example. The TV has a quantum dot layer on the screen, so the TV has a large color gamut and a high brightness. Thanks to the 10-bit color panel, the TV shows more than 1 million colors. As a result, you can distinguish different color tones in a mountain landscape and stars are very bright in the night sky. You don't miss anything during action-packed scenes in games, movies, or sports matches thanks to the 100Hz refresh rate. All action is displayed smoothly, like a fast-moving ball during a soccer game. You can watch content on apps like Netflix and Disney+ via the extensive Google TV smart platform. Via AirPlay, you can effortlessly stream content from your Apple device to the TV.

Nice TV, especially for the money; see plus/minus points. My partner noticed that everything runs super smoothly when playing games, thanks to the VRR functionality. Display is perfect. The smart part and the menus run smoothly, without any hitches. I also saw options to combine the TV speakers with Bluetooth speakers. I haven't tried that further.
All inputs go through our receiver, so for us a TV only needs to provide a picture and not access the internet. Unfortunately, Google TV doesn't agree with this, and every time you turn on the TV it reminds you that it doesn't have internet. And rightly so, since privacy-sensitive functionalities such as the microphone are enabled from the factory and are also shared with all pre-installed, questionable apps. But take this with a grain of salt, as an IT professional I am very critical of smart equipment that wants to access the internet for every fart.
You also receive a lot of warnings regarding energy consumption when you adjust the image settings, while the 'active standby mode' is on by default, so the TV also remains active during standby mode, and therefore consumes more power. So it's a bit hypocritical to let people click away notifications about energy consumption.
The product information on the Coolblue site is not entirely correct, but that was actually a pleasant surprise for once; The TV can handle a maximum of 144Hz on HDMI port 1, and not 100 Hz as advertised here. It also does not state that the device has VRR. This means that the refresh rate (Hz) is adjusted to the number of frames per second (FPS), making all movements super smooth. That is comparable to Gsync and Freesync on desktop PC monitors. My not-so-tech-savvy partner immediately noticed this on her Nintendo Switch. What is also not stated is that the VESA size is, funnily enough, only 300x300, while on our older (defective) 56" 4K TV it was 400x400. So we didn't need a new wall bracket.
