According to our television expert
Ambilight illuminates the wall behind the TV in the colors of the image for an atmospheric viewing experience.
Small details on the screen are clearly visible with the 4K UHD resolution.
On the Philips smart platform, streaming apps are available that you can cast from your phone.
This TV has an 8-bit panel, so you see a less colorful image than with a 10-bit panel.
The 70-inch Philips 70PUS8108 - Ambilight (2023) provides an atmospheric and razor-sharp viewing experience. Thanks to the 4K resolution, every image detail is clear as day. That way, you can see all individual hairs of an animal's fur in a nature documentary. The TV has 3-sided Ambilight, so the light on the back of the TV change color with the movements on the screen. Now, your living room will change color to match a romantic or exciting movie. Via the Philips smart platform, streaming apps are available. You can cast them from your phone to the TV.

Not recommended, will return. I already have 2 Philips The One, both on Android. So I made the assumption that this Philips The One also runs on Android. Wrong. For whatever reason this one is suddenly on Linux. That means no digital TV, no Disney+, no Spotify, no downloading apps. Now I can only watch Netflix and YouTube, worthless.
