According to our television expert
You can view realistic and colorful HDR images with this TV, thanks to the 10-bit panel that shows 1 billion colors.
Ambilight illuminates the wall behind the TV in the colors of the image and provides a relaxed viewing experience.
The Android TV operating system brings live television, apps, and the internet together in a clear overview.
Because the TV doesn't have OLED, you might see a light blur around a star in the night sky for example.
The 55-inch Philips The One 55PUS8808 - Ambilight (2023) shows realistic and colorful images on the 4K screen. Thanks to the Ambilight technology, the wall behind your TV matches the colors of the screen. This provides more rest for your eyes, but mainly an immersive viewing experience. Thanks to the 10-bit panel and HDR support, the TV shows vibrant colors and strong contrasts. As a result, you can recognize details in dark scenes and distinguish different shades of green when you're watching a nature documentary about the jungle. You don't miss a second of the action thanks to the 100Hz refresh rate. You can follow all flying pieces of debris during an explosion and the ball always stays clearly visible during a soccer match. The Android smart platform gives you access to a large amount of apps in a clear menu. That way, you can easily stream all your favorite movies on Netflix and listen to music via Spotify.

Nice image, handy button for netfix on AB and apps such as Plex Media Server can be installed as an extra.

I bought this TV for my mother. But unfortunately the image quality is less than her old Philips Ambilight TV. Dark surfaces in particular are blocky.
