According to our VR headset expert
There's no distortion in the image with the pancake lenses, so you're less bothered by motion sickness.
Since the Meta Quest 3 is 40% slimmer than its predecessor, it feels more comfortable on your head than the Quest 2.
The Meta Quest 3 has mixed reality, so you can combine augmented and virtual reality.
For PCVR, you need an extra accessory.
With the included headband, you game less comfortably.

Nice headset. Especially for people who are new to VR. But the comfort...really below par! And the reason is clear. Meta wants you to buy the elite headstrap and silicone faceguard. Without this it is really not possible if you have been using the VR for more than 30 minutes. Very honest? I also have the Quest 1 and it fits better. That says enough. The wrist straps of the Quest 1 were also much nicer. With this Quest 3 you get thin cords that are annoying. But Meta also has a solution for that, because you can buy wrist straps. But apart from the comfort, it is a beautiful thing and I recommend it.

A really nice headset, for an OK price. Image quality is top, it fits surprisingly well (I haven't bought the elite headstrap yet, and I might leave it alone for a while), the color passthrough is a very good improvement and everything feels like an upgrade with the quest 2!

The Q3 is an investment in what will come with AR (PassThrough), it is not of much use at the moment, but the possibilities are really cool. So feel free to wait for an offer if you have a Q2, because purely for the image quality it is not worth switching.
