According to our earbuds expert
The earbuds are waterproof because of the IP68 certification, so you can easily exercise and walk through the rain with them in.
You're not bothered by ambient noise thanks to Active Noise Canceling.
Listen to spatial audio with Dolby audio, so you're in the middle of your favorite music
The noise canceling of headphones is stronger than that of earbuds.
The Jabra Elite 8 Active are earplugs with ShakeGrip technology. This means that the earbuds fit securely in my ears during both long and short listening sessions. The noise canceling of these earbuds is also solid. Unfortunately, I don't think the HearThrough function works as well. I hear the music around me too loudly.
Sturdy charging case When I take the earbuds out of the box, I immediately notice the charging case. This case is made of plastic and feels sturdy. This sturdy charging case has a battery life of 24 hours. This means I can enjoy music for a long time before the charging case needs to be put on the charger.
Nice fit The outside of the earbuds is made of silicone rubber material. This makes the earplugs less slippery and therefore fit firmly in my ears. I put the earplugs in my ears with a rotating motion. The earplugs remain firmly in place during heavy exertion in the gym. The earbuds are also water resistant, so I can listen to music without any problems when it rains or when I sweat.
Strong noise canceling I often use the earplugs in the office when it is noisy. Then the noise canceling is very nice. It is often noisy here, but thanks to the noise canceling, I don't hear anything when I play music. This makes me focus well on my work. I adjust the noise canceling via the app. With HearThrough I determine how much ambient noise I want to hear. I choose 'off' to turn off noise canceling completely. I don't like the HearThrough mode. In this mode I hear the ambient noise unfiltered. This means I hear noise from the environment louder than when I don't have the earplugs in. I find this a disadvantage.
Music sounds balanced I enjoy the sound reproduction of the earplugs for acoustic music and indie rock. This one is balanced. This means that low, middle and high tones come through well. I do miss the depth in the music. For example, bass tones do not come across in detail. As a result, I don't get the best music experience with EDM and loud rock music.

I have had Jabra products from the elite active series for a number of years. First the 65 (solid, good sound, a bit too chunky in terms of wearing comfort) which has been working without any problems for 3 years now (my girlfriend uses it daily).
Then the upgrade to the 75t elite active (best earbuds I have ever used). Perfect wearing comfort, impossible to fall out. High sound quality, very strong noise cancellation.
Unfortunately, I have had to replace the 75t active twice due to one of the earbuds becoming defective. I have now had two sets that ultimately became defective.
Unfortunately, the 75t active is no longer available to order anywhere, so I thought I would order the latest active version. After trying them out for a few hours, I decided to return them.
Reasons:
Sound quality of music is very flat and also has a tinny effect.
With the elite 8 I have to press harder (just as hard as with the 65t) which pushes the earplugs deeper into your ear because it is uncomfortable / painful. Especially with double printing.
I had previously read some negative reviews of the 4 and 7 active, but hoped that Jabra would deliver a top device again with the 8.
Unfortunately, I will continue looking and perhaps outside the Jabra ecosystem as the quality I was used to seems to have disappeared.

I really like the product, both the 4 Elite extra and the 8 active extra, perfect sound and everything can be adjusted to your own taste. Both pop rock and classical music, rap and love. are very easy to listen to and provide a beautiful reproduction of bass, but also of treble, i.e. the entire spectrum of sound.
