I definitely didn't want a printer with cloud accounts or a printer that required an internet connection (read: HP).
Brother still seems to make printers that you can configure on the printer's display, no app or other software needed. Also, no toner subscriptions or other gimmicks with this printer.
The printer isn't blazing fast, but a duplexer makes up for that. All in all, a surprisingly good printer for a reasonable price.

I've rarely been so satisfied with a purchase: it sleeps unused in a corner for weeks, then boots up without a second thought and prints super-fast duplex… wonderful. Finally, a worry-free printer you can rely on implicitly. Here, it's connected to a network cable and prints plug-and-play via AirPrint without any software. Wi-Fi not used.

Our digital expert will help you, but it can sometimes make mistakes, like humans do.
According to our printer expert
The print speed in black and white is 32 pages per minute, so you don't have to wait long for your print.
Thanks to the automatic duplex printing function, you can save on paper.
You can print your documents wirelessly on this printer via the Brother Mobile Connect app and AirPrint.
You can only print with this printer, so choose an all-in-one printer if you also want to scan or copy.
You can't print your files in color with this printer.
Choose a fast laser printer for the office with the Brother HL-L2445DW. Thanks to its compact size, you can easily place the printer in a small office or home office. You don't give up speed either, because the Brother HL-L2445DW prints 32 black-and-white pages per minute. The printer prints duplex automatically. You can store up to 250 sheets of paper in the printer's paper tray, so you won't have to refill the paper all the time. The printer uses a separate toner cartridge and drum unit. You'll replace the printer drum after about 15,000 printed pages.
