Philips Series 5000 XC5141/01

We were allowed to test the vacuum cleaner for a number of weeks. We are very surprised about the possibilities. At home we have a corded vacuum cleaner and a stick vacuum cleaner that we are not very happy with. But this Philips stick vacuum cleaner really surpasses everything.

The suction picks up everything from the floor and you can attach a mop to the back to ensure that all dust residue that is stuck to the floor is removed.

The vacuum cleaner is lightweight and does not make vacuuming more difficult. The lighting also makes it fun to clean, because you can detect dirt.

The only downside we have is the battery life. Unfortunately, this one is a bit disappointing. In turbo mode it lasts shorter than promised. But this can be solved by purchasing an extra battery.

Conclusion is, are you looking for ease of cleaning? Then you need this vacuum cleaner.

The suction power of this vacuum cleaner is excellent; even in eco mode (the most economical of the three modes you can select) all dirt is sucked up effortlessly. The LED nozzle is really super handy: you can see all the dust well, even in difficult places such as under furniture. However, the dust container fills up quickly. You have to empty it when the dirt reaches the 'Max' line, but we reached that quickly. Maybe because we have a cat that sheds quite a bit. With my old vacuum cleaner I was used to having to set the brush nozzle to a different setting (one setting for carpet; one setting for smooth floors) but fortunately that is not necessary here. So you can vacuum in one go, no matter what type of floor you have. The result on carpet was also great! Vacuuming a loose rug (such as a bath mat) is more difficult: it is almost sucked up by this vacuum cleaner. Mopping with the special attachment (a water reservoir with a microfibre cloth) is also good; the floor is cleaned well. Furthermore, I liked that the vacuum cleaner is very manoeuvrable and that it comes with attachments to easily vacuum the sofa or window frames, for example. Although the vacuum cleaner is robust, it does not get heavy, not even after twenty minutes or so. I am less satisfied with the battery life; it runs out quite quickly. But I did manage to vacuum the entire house with one battery charge (as long as it was on eco mode).

After a few weeks of testing, I have not really discovered any downsides to this vacuum cleaner, apart from the battery life. A fine device that does its job well!

P.S. This vacuum cleaner works with a battery. But the cord length of the charger is fine!

I was able to test this hand-held and cordless vacuum cleaner for a few weeks. It was great to experience this. This stick vacuum cleaner has a wall bracket so that it is easy to hang up and does not take up much space. The vacuum cleaner is easy to grab because it is cordless. The suction power of this vacuum cleaner is very good, but on the other hand, the battery runs out very quickly when you have it on the highest setting and charging the battery takes a very long time. You do not need high suction power on smooth floors, so you can set the battery to a lower setting and use it for longer. The lighting in the foot of the vacuum cleaner is very useful. This allows you to see how much dirt is on the floor. If you set the vacuum cleaner to the highest setting, you can get all the cat hair off the couch in one go. I would not want this vacuum cleaner as my only vacuum cleaner, but more as an extra. Furthermore, I am very satisfied with this vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner is light, easy to use and very manoeuvrable. In short, I am satisfied with this product.
