According to our television expert
Thanks to the Mini-LED backlight, you can enjoy high brightness and powerful contrast.
The super fast Bravia XR processor improves the image, so you can watch TV with the best possible image settings.
With the anti-glare coating and high brightness, you're less bothered by reflections.
This TV has less deep black levels than Sony OLED TVs, which makes the darkest scenes look less realistic.
I enjoy clear images and a strong contrast with the Sony Bravia 9. The sharp 4K images, anti-reflection layer and powerful sound make this television a good choice for anyone who likes to watch films and series in the living room.
Clear images with strong contrast I immediately notice that this TV shows razor-sharp and colorful images. The Bravia XR processor makes images with a lower resolution sharper. When I watch a film in full HD, the images still look detailed. This means that I always look at the best image quality. The mini-LED screen has thousands of small LED lights that light up or dim individually. For example, a light part of the image is very bright and a dark part of the image is very dark. Black is just not as deep black as with an OLED television, which sometimes makes the images less compelling. When I watch a sports match, I notice that the movements of the athletes look very smooth. This is due to the high refresh rate of 100 hertz. As a result, movements almost never falter and I lose sight of the ball less quickly.
Wide colour range Thanks to the QLED image technology, I find the colour range of this TV very wide. For example, I like to watch nature documentaries on this TV. The different colours of the jungle really come into their own here. This makes me feel like I'm completely in the jungle.
Wide viewing angle Thanks to the anti-reflection layer in the screen, I can still enjoy bright, clear images in a sun-drenched room. With TVs without an anti-reflection layer, images are difficult to see when a lamp or the sun shines on the screen. With the Bravia 9, I hardly see any reflections on the screen on a sunny day, even in dark scenes. The anti-reflection layer also ensures a wide viewing angle, so you can enjoy clear and colourful images even when you are sitting diagonally in front of the TV.
Good sound I find the sound of this television quite powerful. Thanks to Dolby Atmos, I can hear the sound from all sides, which makes me feel like I am completely in a film. This TV does not have a built-in subwoofer or soundbar. This means I hear very little low bass tones, which makes the sound less full. Do you like watching movies and series with the most immersive sound? Then I recommend a separate soundbar with subwoofer.

Review.nl allowed me to test a Sony television for a number of weeks in combination with the Theater Bar 9 from Sony. I have had an Oled television in the living room since 2016 and am very satisfied with it, but it is from 2016 and the apps can no longer be updated, so time for an upgrade. This television may not be an Oled, but the sharpness, brightness and contrast are surprisingly good, black is almost black (Oled remains blacker), but this is not disturbing at all. The image is beautifully sleek. What is also an improvement compared to my previous TV is the operation of the settings, so many more options and for people who value economy, this television can perform a lot of functions in ECO mode, but at the expense of the image, I assume, but the option is there. Many different preset viewing options, such as film, standard, lively and the IMAX enhance, the latter gives a nice 'soft' image when you watch a film, very smooth. With this television you get two remote controls, one with a lot of buttons (normal remote control) and one with the main functions for quick use (this one is illuminated, nice for gadget enthusiasts). Operation is very natural, the settings follow logically, perhaps there are many different options, but then it is better to have too many options than too few. This television is 75 inches wide, my previous one was 65 inches and curved, this is an upgrade in everything, no more reflection (curved is special), that extra 22 cm on the screen is also nice. Connecting is a piece of cake, but the tip is to immediately connect the internet cable, because the first thing the TV wants to do is connect to Google TV, after which the setting will take place automatically. In combination with the Soundbar, this television provides a nice, complete sound image. Only using the TV speaker gives a somewhat flat experience, but that is no different than normal. See my findings about the Soundbar in the review of this product. Conclusion: a very nice television, with all modern options, a super sleek image and, last but not least, the frame and finish of the product are also superb.

I was able to test this Sony Bravia 9 for a number of weeks via Review.nl in combination with the Theater Soundbar 9 from Sony.
Because I have a television from 2016, albeit an Oled version, I was still looking for an upgrade. Since the apps no longer work or are no longer supported by the old OS system of the television, I wanted a modern television that can be turned on again. meets all my wishes.
This television is 75 inches wide, almost 190 cm in diameter, so it is a huge colossus. Installation requires two people to get it into place. I really think the finish of the television is a 10, cable management has been considered for the cables, an annoyance for many people if they want a sleek TV against the wall and always see the cables running behind it, with this Sony absolutely no visible cables. , well done. I installed the legs so that the TV stands practically on the furniture, which I think is nicer and tighter than 8 cm above it, both are possible with these legs.
Installing the Sony itself is very easy, as long as the internet is connected, done with a cable, so that you can immediately search for the latest update, which was the case with me, after this it is completely automatic.
Lots of setting options for enthusiasts to adjust every detail to create the perfect image, the preset image settings immediately provide a good picture of what the TV can display, I am a fan of the IMAX enhance setting, this gives the image a little something. softer' appearance, I find it pleasant to watch a long film.
The sound from the television itself is fine for people who do not have or do not want a surround set, so you can hear what is being said just fine, I am a fan of a good surround set myself. With the Theater Bar it is a different story, but you can read that in the review of the soundbar.
All in all, it is a very nice television with enough setting options to make it your own, I think the appearance is beautiful and the interface to set and operate everything also feels very natural.
