Very suitable for zooming in far and then, for example, getting animals in the picture nicely without disturbing them. It does take some practice / getting to know the camera to focus on the right thing and especially to keep still when zooming in far, but then you really have something. The colours and the distribution of light appear in the photo exactly as you see it in real life. When using the flash I hardly ever notice that it gets overexposed, which is also very nice.
Only downside: It says that it is suitable for sports photography. I disagree: moving things always become a smudge, even in sports mode.
