Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Black

I bought these Earbuds to replace my Bose QuietComfort 20 (with 3.5mm plug) that have been with me for years and that I am very satisfied with. With these new Earbuds now the convenience of wireless, but unfortunately also some inconveniences. An App is necessary for use, but fortunately you do not necessarily have to use it for normal music listening after installation. The sound quality, noise suppression and wearing comfort of these earbuds are fine as you would expect from Bose. It is annoying that it regularly happens that one of the earbuds drops out and you have to put it back in the charger/case to restore the Bluetooth connection. This case has an LED indicator for the battery status, which I usually see (even after charging) flashing red. Even after reading the manual it is unfortunately not very clear what the battery status of the case is. Even more annoying I find that after 2 months of occasional use one of the rubbers on the edge has come loose a few times and there is a crack in it. Extra rubbers are included, but at this rate they will not survive the warranty period. All in all not completely satisfied and I do not have the impression that these Earbuds will last as long as my older 3.5mm version.

I myself worked for Bose for more than 5 years in the center of Eindhoven. At that time, wireless earphones were on the way. These earbuds fully meet the sound quality that I am used to from, among others, the QC35ll. Despite the fact that I am well acquainted with the brand, I hesitated between this and the Ultra. In my experience, there is no difference in terms of sound quality. I mainly listen to jazz, RNB, soul and funk.

When choosing wireless in-ear earphones, I hesitated between Sony and Bose. In the end, I opted for a more recent model from Bose. Since I work out several times a week, it was important to me that the earphones not only offer excellent sound quality, but also stay in my ears well during exercise. I am very satisfied with this: the sound quality is excellent, the fit is comfortable, and the weight of the earphones is pleasant. They stay in place well, even during intensive exercise. A pleasant surprise was the impressive noise-canceling function, which effectively eliminates disturbing ambient noise. What is less positive is that the connection between the earphones has already dropped out 4-5 times in the past two weeks while listening. The sound then only comes from one earphone. After several attempts to reconnect, it works again, but you do not expect this from a product in this price range. I read on various forums that other users also suffer from this. Hopefully this problem can be solved with a software update.
