According to our headphones expert
Active noise canceling reduces distracting ambient sounds and noise.
With Surround Sound, you can watch movies via Apple TV on your iPhone or iPad that sound just like you're in a movie theater.

The headphones can't be folded to a compact size.
The headphones weigh 384g, so they might feel heavy on your head.
Shut yourself off from your surroundings with the Apple AirPods Max Gold. These headphones reduce annoying ambient noise via noise canceling. This way, you can focus on the music and on what you're doing. This is useful for busy places, such as the office and public transport. With Surround Sound, you can listen to spatial audio while you're watching your favorite movie or series via supporting apps on your iPhone or iPad. An explosion sounds loud and comes from all sides, so it feels like you're in the movie theater. The double H1 chip by Apple ensures that you can listen to a high sound quality and that you can connect the AirPods to all your iCloud devices quickly. The headphones last 20 hours on a full charge. Is the battery empty? After 5 minutes of charging, you can listen to music for 1.5 hours. These AirPods Max have a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port. That way, you can use the charging cable that Apple includes or the USB-C charging cable that you already own.
Sound according to the expertAirPods Max don't enhance the low frequencies or the mid-range frequencies. The frequency response is reasonably neutral, so you can enjoy balanced audio. The bass, instruments, and vocals aren't boosted. There's no equalizer available for these headphones, so you have to settle for the default settings.
What a fantastic sound comes from the AirPods Max!

The build quality is incredible. It feels like you’re wearing a work of art on your head, with wonderfully comfortable ear pads and a solid frame. And the sound? It’s like your favorite artists are live in your living room, with noise cancellation that completely shuts out the world.
The only downside is the price—it’s steep. But if you’re already in the Apple ecosystem, this is a no-brainer. Quality comes at a price, and with these headphones, it’s worth every penny.
