The JBL PartyBox Stage 320 is really a big boy, ideal for any occasion, especially for large(er) parties/gatherings. I mainly bought the speaker because I wanted a sturdy speaker that has enough power to perform outdoors for larger groups of people. The speaker completely lives up to that expectation!
The power of 240 watts provides a super nice and clear sound. Furthermore, it is also a light show on wheels, which you can adjust entirely to your own taste. You can set the sound, effects and light show via the JBL app or on the speaker itself. So nice and easy.
Connecting to the speaker is super easy and fast. You can connect via Bluetooth, USB or an AUX cable. Furthermore, if you need to, you can also connect a microphone to the speaker.
Build quality is really good. Which means that the speaker is also quite heavy, over 16 kg. Fortunately, this was taken into account when designing the speaker. There is a handle (extendable) and wheels on the bottom of the speaker. So you take the speaker with you like a kind of rolling suitcase! Very useful if, for example, you want to use the speaker somewhere outside. The speaker is also splash-proof. This ensures that you do not have to fear our beautiful Dutch "summers", which can be suspiciously changeable! The speaker can therefore withstand a good knock, because it is rock solid and can therefore withstand a good mood, perfect!
Furthermore, the JBL app is really a solution. I previously described that you can use the JBL app to control the lights of the speaker, for example. You can set all the colors of the rainbow, but you can also turn on a kind of strobe or pulse effect, for example. You can also adjust the sound (volume, EQ and bass) and other settings of the speaker. You can also play a number of rather gimmicky effects (gas horn, for example) via the app. For me, those crazy sounds don't bring any added value, but yes, fun for that one time. The app is especially helpful for the ease of connecting and adjusting sound.
The price is on the high side, but yes, so are the speaker and sound ;) In my opinion, the speaker is worth the price, but you have to make that decision yourself. The previous variants in JBL's 300 series also offer value for money, but this speaker is a big step higher. I mentioned earlier about the 240 watts, which provide a great sound. JBL has also improved the sound quality of the 320, which is why JBL now calls it a “Pro” sound. Something that I definitely hear, especially in the mids and lows.
I am happy with my choice for the JBL 320. It will offer me the opportunity to organize plenty of parties in the coming years, indoors and outdoors. The build quality and ease of connection, together with the power of the speaker, are the deciding factor for me. If you are looking for a suitable party cannon, you will find the perfect candidate in this speaker.
