I was a big fan of Melitta, and despite previous "bad luck" with their coffee set, I gave them another chance and am unfortunately disappointed..
After about 15 uses, the grinding mechanism jammed, and after numerous thorough cleanings, it is still jammed.
I was fed up...
I finally filed a return for this, because making coffee shouldn't be rocket science.
I must say, though, that the service at Melitta was always TOP!! But now I'm giving up.....despite their reputation..

It's nice that you have the option to choose between beans or filter coffee.

According to our filter coffee machine expert
Great-tasting coffee: thanks to the consistent brewing temperature, you’ll always brew a great-tasting cup of coffee.
Freshly ground coffee: the machine also grinds coffee beans, so you can make coffee from freshly ground beans in addition to drip coffee.
Enjoy hot coffee longer: the thermos keeps the coffee warm longer, so you can drink it later in the day.
No view of the contents: the drip coffee maker doesn't have a volume marking, so you don't know how much coffee is in the carafe.
Wider design: because the drip coffee maker is wider than average, it doesn’t fit easily on the counter or in the kitchen.
