I find the Pierre Sandwich Maker PCG2000 easy to use. It's easy to operate, and the appliance heats up quickly. My sandwich is ready in just a few minutes, with a crispy exterior. However, the stainless steel parts do get hot, so I prefer not to touch them during use.
Ease of Use
The controls are self-explanatory. I don't need an on/off switch. I simply set the temperature with a turn of the knob. The lights clearly show when the grill is heating up and ready to use. A sandwich is ready in 3 to 5 minutes. This is handy when I want to make something quickly, for example, during lunch or after a busy day.
Grilling Results
The sandwiches come out beautifully evenly browned and crispy. The ridges are deep, creating a true grilled pattern. This not only looks good, but also makes the bread nice and crispy. The heat distributes evenly, so the entire loaf is thoroughly grilled. The heavy top presses the sandwich firmly into place. This melts the cheese well and keeps everything neatly in place.
Cleaning
After use, the grill plates are easy to clean. There are hardly any food residues left behind. Any residue, I wipe away with a cloth. The grease drains neatly into the drip tray. This minimizes cleaning. The plates are also smooth, which makes cleaning even easier.
Tilting Top
The tilting top allows even thickly filled sandwiches to fit easily between the plates. The top moves with the grill and presses the bread evenly. This keeps the toppings neatly between the slices and prevents spills. Wraps or paninis also fit easily between them.
Safety
The stainless steel parts get hot while grilling. Fortunately, they have plastic protective caps so I don't burn myself. The handle stays cool. This allows me to open the grill safely, even after it's just finished cooking.
