Philips Portable Shaver PQ888/06

I ordered this shaver primarily for its compact size and long battery life. It's comfortable to hold and takes up minimal space in my toiletry bag. The button responds instantly, and the two flexible shaving heads glide smoothly over my face. After ten days of daily use, the battery life proves to be more than adequate. What really struck me is how gently it shaves: no irritation or tightness, even with dry shaves. A downside is the use of a proprietary charging cable instead of USB-C and the lack of a clear battery indicator. But all in all, it's perfect for shaving on the go (but also at home).

After using it for a few weeks, I can only conclude that it's an excellent device.

Of course, it can't be compared to a larger shaver, but for quick use, it's fine. Because the device lasts a long time, it's very suitable for short vacations. Charge it at home and you can easily use it for a week.

I took it with me to New York, and thanks to its compact design, it freed up some extra space in my suitcase.

You do need to be patient during use. It often takes a while to remove the hairs. Certainly longer than with my regular shaver.

Great shaver for on the go (and at home, too). Because of the dual heads, you do have to pay close attention to where you shave; it's easy to miss something. I've found that moving slowly over the hairs helps with better results. The battery lasts about 10 shaves (about an hour of shaving), which is great! Especially for travel. And of course, you can charge the device in between. It's a shame the charging cable has a special plug for the shaver; why not just USB-C, which everyone carries on vacation anyway? The other end of the cable has a USB-A plug that plugs into a standard USB charger. The charger isn't included, rightly so, but USB-C for the charging plug would make more sense. Unfortunately, the charging cable doesn't fit in the travel bag either, so you'll need a dedicated charging cable, which you'll have to carry separately. The box contains two enormous sheets with warranty terms and conditions and information the manufacturer can use to waive claims, as well as a very small piece of paper with some "IKEA" illustrations showing how to use the appliance. This could have been clearer, especially regarding cleaning.
