The Philips 8000 Series BHD839/10 truly exceeded my expectations. As someone who blow-dries daily, I'm always looking for a device that works quickly without damaging my hair. This dryer has 1400 W of power and a speed of 228 km/h (141 mph), which ensures I dry my hair in no time, without feeling like I'm burning it. The ThermoShield technology constantly adjusts the temperature, which I find really reassuring, especially since my hair is prone to overheating.

What I really appreciate is the versatility of this dryer. There are so many settings to play with—from the different speeds to the seven temperature settings. The magnetic styling nozzle and diffuser are also a great addition, especially if you have curls or want to create volume. It's a lightweight dryer, which makes it extra comfortable to use, especially if, like me, you spend a lot of time styling.

Sure, the price is a bit high, but I think it's definitely worth it for the quality you get. For €249.99, you not only get a hairdryer that works efficiently, but also one that truly protects and nourishes your hair. If you value your hair's health and are looking for a reliable, long-lasting hairdryer, I would definitely recommend this one.

This hairdryer is beautifully designed. Everything has been carefully considered. I love the metallic blue-purple color, and the hairdryer is small and fits comfortably in your hand. Much lighter than an average hairdryer. My previous hairdryer had a rubber coating that got a bit sticky, but that won't happen with this one. The device practically invites you to use it.

For a relatively small hairdryer, this one does a lot. And it's powerful, which I appreciate because I often want to dry my hair quickly. You can choose from 7 temperature settings and 3 blow-dry settings, so you can always find a perfect combination. The temperature sensor ensures you don't blow-dry too hot, which could damage your hair. And your hair becomes less frizzy, which is also important.

I don't use the nozzle and diffuser (yet), but they are very easy to click onto the hairdryer; a magnet holds them in place. Setting the various settings (shown on the display on the back of the dryer) takes a little getting used to, but after that, it works perfectly.

I was often too impatient to blow-dry my hair thoroughly, but this dryer is so enjoyable to use that I use it more often.

I couldn't have expected it to be so light. It's okay in the hand, nothing special. What really shines is the airflow. Where I used to have to dry for at least 15 minutes because I have a lot of thick hair, I now do it in 5. And strangely enough, my hair doesn't look as dull anymore, even when I dry with warm air. I have no idea why, but you won't hear me complaining. It has several strengths. I start with the highest and warm setting and then gradually go down to a colder setting to protect my hair.
