The first Philips Airfryer was developed with the inventor Fred van der Weij. This model was released almost 20 years later. The concept has not changed, but the original Airfryer is noticeably faster. The recipe times are often based on that. The problem was that in combination with fat it quickly became a smoke bomb. The later generations give much less smoke, but therefore also heat less intensively. With a larger capacity such as this one (XL), the heat distribution is also less good. I can't give it more than 4 stars. A real improvement is the viewing window with lighting. Also handy are the preset programs that you can adjust to your own wishes, such as with or without a shake reminder. How to do that is stated in the manual (via QR code).

Beautiful design airfryer with a viewing window so you can quickly see if your food is ready. It is warm in no time compared to my oven and large enough due to the capacity of 4.2L. Around the display are various standard preparation methods within reach and the keep-warm function is also ideal. This makes it easy to keep your food at the right temperature if someone is unexpectedly not home yet. Snacks and fresh fries are also made with the preset settings and the drip tray is easy to clean and can be placed in the dishwasher so that you have fresh fries fairly quickly and do not eat so greasy.
