According to our television expert
Thanks to the Mini-LED backlight, you can benefit from a high brightness and a high contrast.
Thanks to the 4K UHD resolution, you can see small details clearly.
With the 10-bit screen, you can enjoy realistic and colorful HDR images.
This television has a built-in soundbar for a particularly powerful sound.
On the 65-inch screen of the Sony BRAVIA 5 65inches 4K XR Mini-LED (2025), you won't miss any details. The 4K UHD resolution ensures that you can even recognize fine structures razor-sharp, in landscape recordings or action movies for example. Thanks to the Mini-LED backlight, you can experience strong contrasts and a high brightness. That way, bright scenes look intense and dark areas are really defined. The 10-bit screen shows billions of colors realistically and lively. Dolby Vision and HDR10 improve the depth and dynamic of your favorite content. With the 100Hz refresh rate, fast movements move smoothly during a thrilling soccer match, for example. Google TV provides a clear menu and access to many apps.

If you have a brightly lit living room, I recommend the Sony Bravia 5. This mini LED TV has a bright and high-contrast screen. This allows me to see every color tone, without a gray cast. I hardly notice any reflections. I only see them in direct sunlight and when viewing from a sharp angle.
High-Contrast Mini LED Screen I find the Bravia 5 a striking TV. I don't adjust any settings and immediately watch colorful, high-contrast images. Colorful nature documentaries, in particular, look great. I can see every detail in a cheetah's fur, for example. Dark films with many bright light sources also look beautiful. Explosions in the action film Ballerina are realistic and don't negatively impact the picture quality. Because of this strong contrast, I recommend this TV if you enjoy watching movies and can't darken your room properly.
High Brightness Like other mini LED TVs, the Bravia 5 performs well in a brightly lit room. I'm not bothered by ambient light and can clearly see what's happening on the screen. The TV is therefore bright enough for most rooms. Bright light sources like a table lamp are clearly visible, which I consider a drawback. The TV also has a narrower viewing angle. The image quality deteriorates quickly if you're not sitting directly in front of the TV. The viewing angle is wide enough for your family, but too narrow for larger groups.
Clear Google TV smart platform The Google TV smart platform is a clear advantage of the Bravia 5. I appreciate the clear menu and the wide range of apps. I quickly find the app or streaming service I'm looking for. There's a strong emphasis on movies and series. This allows me to immediately see an overview of movies I'm currently watching and quickly pick up where I left off. Google TV also lists many recommended movies and series. I consider this a drawback, as this part of the menu takes up a lot of space.

I've had the television for a few weeks now and have already been able to make good use of it. The TV is actually top-notch right out of the box. Picture settings do not need to be adjusted for a very pleasant viewing experience. I have a window reflecting directly in the image, but this is not nearly as noticeable on the screen. It is bright enough that it doesn't bother me at all.
For the sound, I personally use a soundbar. The TV itself has the sound you would expect from a TV—fine—but certainly not what a soundbar can deliver.
I would definitely recommend the TV!

I think the image is very good. The colors are not too aggressive.
