Great radio and speaker, but there are some areas for improv

The JBL Tuner 3 is a radio with excellent sound, also as a Bluetooth speaker. Admittedly, the sound of two JBL Charge 3 speakers in stereo mode is better, but this one is really good. Unlike many cheaper radios, it has much more bass and body. It's a bit larger than the first generation that a colleague of mine ordered a few years ago, but it's still a nice, compact speaker with radio function. The Tuner 3 uses a standard equalizer setting that produces good sound. To save energy, they've created a playtime boost function that, according to JBL, should extend the battery life from 12 to 15 hours, but I don't understand how it works. The result is a really flat sound from a cheap radio. I don't think anyone will use it. Admittedly, my Denver DAB-42 radio has that sound by default, but that costs less than 30 euros. A funny thing I noticed during the sound test is that the JBL Tuner 3 lags slightly behind the Denver DAB-42 on the same channel (DAB+). Now, you'll only notice this if you're watching live sports and have the radio next to it for sound. Charging with my JBL Charge 3 box as a power bank also works. I still have a few improvements for JBL that don't have to cost a fortune to produce, but given the price, they really should be included: - Screen is pixelated and doesn't show the date & time like most other DAB+ radios - Station presets could really have had 9 buttons instead of the current 6 - My biggest annoyance that doesn't really go anywhere is the charge indicator and charging speed at 6.7W, but you have no idea how much it's charging. The indicator shows charging, and in the JBL Portable app it happily shows 100%, which isn't true. The speed could definitely be higher, and even my old JBL Charge 3 speakers have flashing battery capacity indicators to let you know how much they're charging. The Charge 3 speakers could already charge at 10W, while this Tuner 3 only charged at 6.7W. But these days, it should be possible with 20V 3A (60W), like the new JBL Charge 6.
