The second-hand Xbox Ally X indeed looked like new. However, an incorrect reset/reinstallation had been performed, causing it to run a standard Windows 11 without the specific Asus software, drivers, and firmware.
Tip:
If you want to do this for other second-hand devices, select Asus Cloud Restore in the BIOS. This takes a few hours, but then you will have the device installed as if it were new.

Very nice handheld, but the only downside is that the charger is not included and is also not available in Belgium. We drove to the Netherlands on the day of purchase just to find a charger.

I am very happy with the purchase. I also have a Legion Go 2 with an OLED screen. Unfortunately, that one is a bit too heavy for me, which is why I ended up buying an upgrade to the ROG Ally X. It always felt good in my hands, and with the current design, it is perfect. It is a shame that the screen hasn't been upgraded yet. The difference compared to the Legion is quite significant now. However, the picture is good enough, so it doesn't bother me.
It is a nice device for gaming. The buttons are easy to reach, and the added Xbox button is particularly handy. I did turn off the Windows login screen, though, because I don't find typing a password every time I turn it on convenient.
The price goes up every year, but you do get extras in return. Everything runs just a little smoother. I do think, however, that for that price they should have included a charger and a case.
In short, I am certainly happy with it, but if the Legion Go 2 had been less heavy, I wouldn't have bought the ROG.
