Sony ULT Field 3 White Duo Pack

I am very pleased with this speaker. The sound quality is excellent and it is larger than I expected. It can also go quite loud, which is ideal for various occasions. The ‘ULT bass’ function does its job well and it is handy that you can turn it on or off, depending on your preference.

What I am less impressed with is the Sony app. I think it adds little, because you can also manage the battery life and operation perfectly well without the app. The connectivity, on the other hand, is great: even if my phone is a few rooms away, the speaker stays connected without any problems.

The handle is also a big plus. I often use it when my hands are full but I still want to take the speaker with me. It is also very nice that it is water resistant. I like to listen to music in the shower, and this way I don’t have to worry about it getting wet.

Hands-free calling works well, although I don’t use that function often. All in all, a nice speaker that I am very happy with!

Nice size portable bluetooth speaker. The sound is basically very good and full, especially in smaller spaces like our bathroom and bedroom it sounds great. In larger spaces like our living room and outside we use ULT for an even deeper bass. The sound is really unexpectedly good for a speaker of this size.

Sound Connect offers DJ options to play sound effects while listening to music. I can imagine that another target group would really like that, but I don't do more than just listen to music with this speaker.

It's nice that two people can be connected at the same time. Another bluetooth speaker I have can't do that and my girlfriend and I have to disconnect every time the other wants to play music.

Charging the speaker is fast and once charged the battery lasts forever (ok ok, that's how it feels, in reality it's about 24 hours). And to ensure that the battery doesn't age quickly, there is a setting that ensures that it is charged up to a maximum of 90% (just like modern phones and electric cars have). And you can also charge your phone by connecting it to the speaker.

This speaker sounds fantastic and is definitely made for people who like their music loud. You can turn it up really loud without the sound quality being affected, and thanks to the ULT button it sounds even fuller. The EQ settings that you can adjust make it extra nice, because this way you can really tune the sound to your preferences. The battery lasts a long time, and the built-in function to charge up to 80% is ideal if you want to keep your battery healthy for a long time. The big disadvantage is the weight. This speaker is quite heavy, compared to other speakers in this range, and not very easy to move, especially if you want to take it outside. There is a shoulder strap that helps, but it is a bit difficult to mount so you will definitely stick to it. But if you do take it to a day at the beach or something, you also have a very good and powerful speaker with you.
