Sony INZONE H9 II Gaming Headset PS5 and PC - Black

This headset has become my primary choice for gaming on the PlayStation 5 PRO, where I currently primarily play Battlefield 6.

The difference compared to my previous headsets, both budget models and the original Sony PlayStation versions, is significant. The most striking is the low weight and the ear cushions that don't build up heat. This makes long-term gaming much more enjoyable. Visually, the headset has a sleek and minimalist design, not a flashy design. What I do appreciate is the well-thought-out placement of the controls. I use the large mute button on the left earcup constantly, and the red light on the microphone provides immediate feedback when you're muted.

Sony provides the headset with excellent preset sound profiles through their app. For shooter games, there are three FPS modes. I swear by FPS 1: footsteps are extremely audible, allowing you to hear enemies approaching from afar and accurately assess their position.

A short test with music via my smartphone showed that the headset performs well there as well. The sound is rich and balanced. I hardly need the ANC function, since my gaming space is already quiet (and not activating it also saves battery life).

The headset connects to the dongle lightning fast, the sound is very good, and neither I nor my teammates can hear my noisy toddler :)

This is a beautiful headset with excellent comfort. The headband is easily adjustable, and the earcups fit snugly over the ears. The sound is good and clear, but the software is of poor quality, making setup difficult. The microphone is nice and clear and picks up very little ambient noise. A real plus is the noise canceling, which really makes it virtually inaudible. In short, a great headset that only needs some tweaking to get it perfect.
