Tefal Easy Fry Infrared EY832H

Baking is different from other air fryers. It works fine, but before you figure it out, you'll be searching for a printable online manual. The included quick-step manual is completely useless in that regard.

At first glance, the Tefal Infrared Airfryer looks smaller than expected: it's supposedly a 7L appliance, suitable for 5 to 6 people. But appearances can be deceiving: the appliance is a bit narrower, but deep enough, and the basket is high enough to still hold the indicated capacity!

The controls are very easy: turn it on, and it's all very straightforward. I haven't used all the programs yet, but so far, everything works perfectly. The touchscreen works perfectly.

The infrared heating is indeed fast: there's virtually no preheating time (as with other air fryers) and it's much quieter during use (compared to other air fryers). I also find (but that's a personal preference) that there are fewer odors released during cooking.

Chicken legs and snacks, for example, are cooked quickly and nice and hot inside. Be careful with the "extra crispy" function: before you know it, things have gone a bit too far. It's a matter of experimenting. While cooking, you can keep a close eye on everything through the viewing window. This is easily accessible with a cloth to remove any splashes if necessary.

It's great that the temperature ranges from 40°C to 220°C: this makes the air fryer more versatile (drying herbs, baking cakes, etc.). Cleaning is a breeze: the "grid" sits securely in the basket during use, and removing it for washing is very easy. Because it's not a mesh basket, cleaning it with a sponge and a little dish soap is sufficient. It's also dishwasher safe, but I prefer not to because of the extra wear and tear.

I'm satisfied, and it's a keeper!

I'm very happy with this air fryer. It makes crispy fries and snacks (unlike my previous air fryer). The viewing window is great for keeping an eye on what's happening. The crisp function worked very well with meatballs. The downside is that the container is detachable; my previous one was on rails and can't be pulled out easily. It also can't be defrosted because the minimum temperature is 70 degrees Celsius.
