What a nice light thing, I thought when I used it for the first time. Because it only has a limited number of functions, and I had previously used a Sonicare brush, this model was nice and clear. New to me is that it warns you if you brush too hard. This is of course very nice for your gums. The included brush is particularly pleasant to brush and is nice and sturdy and makes good contact with the teeth.

The USB base as a charger seems purely intended as a cost saving, but it is not really useful because it is actually irresponsible to use a USB charger in the bathroom due to possible moisture. Fortunately, the battery life is quite long, so you only need to charge once a week. If you have an old Sonicare charger lying around with such a pin in the middle; it also works excellently on this model. Very nice that Philips has kept this the same, which prevents a lot of e-waste.

I thought it was a shame that the packaging contained unnecessary paper in the form of a booklet with warranty conditions in 10+ languages, but that will probably have to be done by local regulations. The manual seemed to be missing, but could be consulted online.

I panicked a bit when I saw an RFID symbol on the brush. I was afraid that I would no longer be able to use generic brushes if I wanted to (whether this is wise is of course another matter). Fortunately, this turns out not to be the case; you have the freedom to use both brushes from Philips itself and generic brushes; even the older models. It's nice that Philips makes this possible.

The modern brush that comes with the product has a built-in chip that keeps track of how many times you have brushed with it and the body warns you if you use the brush for too long. The narrow brush gives me the feeling that I can reach everything well, unlike my previous brush. It is a nice, simple toothbrush with few functions.
