The camera is very easy to mount; if you want to neatly hide the wiring behind the dashboard panels, it is of course a bit more work, but a handy tool is included to pry the panels loose.

Image quality is naturally what you would expect with 2K resolution (I do understand why they don't offer a higher resolution, as that would obviously require more storage on the SD card); not perfect sharpness like your phone camera, especially when viewed on a computer screen, but sufficient to capture clear images. With the handy app on your mobile, the image is sharp enough to read license plates of the car in front of you.

An advantage of the included PMPC03 is that the camera goes into parking mode when the car is turned off. It then records a time-lapse, or you can set it to record in the event that it detects something. The PMPC03 can be set to multiple voltage levels so that if you do not use the car for an extended period, it does not drain the battery. It automatically switches off parking mode if the battery gets too low to prevent you from being unable to start the car. (Often only applicable after a few days of inactivity).
