Denon Home 600 Black

The Denon Home 600 is a beautiful speaker with a sleek design. It delivers full, powerful, and spacious sound. Unfortunately, the music stutters when I adjust the volume using the buttons on the speaker.

Full and spacious sound The speaker delivers full and powerful sound with solid bass tones. The bass tones do not overpower and sound well-balanced with the background music and vocals. As a result, disco and soul music really come into their own. With rap, too, the bass tones do not overpower, but I do enjoy a clear beat. Because the sound also comes from above the speaker, I hear more depth in the sound. This allows me to hear spacious and realistic sound throughout my living room. When I stand far from the speaker in the kitchen, the sound still sounds full. I find it a pity that the sound stutters when I adjust the volume using the buttons on the speaker. I do not hear this stuttering when I adjust the volume with my phone.

Sleek design I think the speaker is very beautiful. It has a sleek design and is neatly finished. For instance, I find the cable channel on the back a nice detail, as it allows me to neatly hide the cable. The speaker sits on a large round base with a built-in light. I think this gives it a luxurious look. The buttons on the top and back are minimalist and feel satisfying to press.

In the app, I configure the Quick Select buttons on the speaker. For example, I set Quick Select 1 to play stereo sound with a single press of that button. For Quick Select 2, I set it to play surround sound. This is handy when you connect the speaker to a Denon soundbar and use it for movies and series. In total, I configure 3 Quick Select buttons.
